Yep. The ethical case for using historical controls seems to be absolutely affirmed by the German intervention some of us believe occurred. This may be a case where Dr. Linda Liau received her wish for a “way” to demonstrate the efficacy of treatment amongst the various otherwise confounding factors because of the ethical concerns of the German trial partners. So glad a German doctor was honored along side of Dr Ralph Steinman with the Nobel Prize for research on DCs and that German influence might have helped untangle the web. Best wishes.
