Has anyone converted a IRA which is supercharged with AVXL to a Roth IRA recently. I have a ton of $$ ( approx 500K )in the regular ira 90% which is avxl at an avg cost of approx. $6pps. I have been told that I should convert to a Roth if I truly expect it to run much higher. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I know I would pay the taxes on the conversion which would put me in a higher tax bracket which I guess would be considerable, probably in the 35% bracket or higher. Is this a good strategy if we think the stock will be over $100 in the coming years? Thanks for the input in advance.
