Oh please. So why'd the company bother to PR pump Duffy if he was just a secret loaner? More deception? Besides, any buyout would've occurred during the slow summer months so that's over now unless they announce something Monday morning.

Much likelier reason is Duffy and the very temporary CFO were window dressing for some cash raise, loan, and / or SEC compliance issue.

If LP can convince financiers to run a trial redux while keeping the long overdue details of tld quiet in an attempt to "re blind" for the new "improved" trial, she might be able to keep this thing going. Probably also some expanded compassionate use "cause" angle, which won't really help shareholders much but'll be good for Cognate and Advent. There'll be some kind of retail killing restructure, of course. Why else would warrant holders stick around and put up with all this delay and missed opportunity? Retail are the warrant holders ace card with this one.
