I like your response but these mufflers are stainless. Being a boat owner in a saltwater enviornment everything made of quality stainlees steel is very expensive. There are many levels of quality in stainless but even a bolt that made of quality stainless is about 5 times the price of galvanized. Maybe another poster has more info on this. I would think his estimate of 10% margin is very low and yours a bit high.
Typically a good margin in the chip maker market is 45%.
