Treating shingles with Actipatch. My wife has a minor outbreak of shingles maybe a couple of times a year. She always knows when it's coming as she has intense pain in her upper thigh that always preceeds an outbreak. This time we placed a patch over the painful area of her thigh overnight as soon as she experienced pain. Pain almost all gone the next day and no shingles. Anecdotal to be sure. But this was a first for her. While neither of us are anxiously awaiting her next outbreak, we'll do the same thing next time. It'll be interesting to see how she reacts.
