His view is that HsCrp will not be lowered below what’s baseline normal

P-IT 2 will have patients with elevated hsCrp because of their Covid infection

Theory is that V will lower this hsCrp ( inflammation ) so the V arm should have less hospitalization.

This is similar to the Jupiter trial with Crestor (a statin )
Crestor’s main MOA was lowering high hsCrp which lead to fewer heart attacks in the Crestor arm
