Looks like that was not the catalyst, since the upward movement continues.

Maybe people are beginning to realize the value of this drug, esp. as "thought leaders" are expressing their very favorable opinions. I think that is the reason for the upsurge. There seems to be a maturing period and we have maybe now entered the beginning of wider usage.
