I think you misunderstood my point. My point was that there is ZERO CHANCE of a puny municipality offering or will install the underground conduits and flush mounted junction boxes at every turtle location, typical of what’s needed for runway lighting.

That is why I say anything more than gluing a turtle to the road surface won’t happen…

For SmartRoad to become successful it will have to self generate its own power and be WIRELESS to the outside world.

The turtle lacks enough surface area to provide adequate photocell coverage needed to supply enough power to operate the system, much less capacity to store enough power for nighttime and overcast sky usage.
