Yes...that is how most publicly traded startup companies finance acquisitions...with shares not cash.

Look...I think we can all agree that Hunter is a very smart guy. Why would he agree to be paid by a large chunk in shares for a company he built with his own blood and sweat if the company shares he got paid in is for crap as you believe? Riddle me that...
