So for those of us ready to buy a new PC, what is the important question to ask? Is it sufficient to ask if the motherboard has a TPM chip?

Also: a few years from now:
2003 Oct 29, Lenslet, an Israeli start-up, has developed a processor that uses optics instead of silicon, enabling it to compute at the speed of light.
