Linda Powers is already envisioning a world after DCVax-L and DCVax Direct are approved by regulatory authorities worldwide to treat ndGBM and rGBM patients, and all or most other solid tumor cancers, both operable and inoperable. She first applied for a trademark for “Healthbank” back in 2006, and the trademark was granted by the USPTO in 2010. But, the trademark was cancelled on 8/7/2020.

It now looks like Linda Powers is expecting to be using the Healthbank trademark in commerce soon. On 7/6/2021, Linda Powers recently was granted preliminary approval (Notice of Allowance) by the USPTO for a new trademark for “Healthbank” for 2 International Class Codes. The first Class Code is 039, and the second Class Code is 044:

Class 039 = Physical storage of biological cells, tissues and derivatives thereof for others, for veterinary, medical, scientific, research and development uses

Class 044 = Biological cell and tissue bank services, namely, collection, and preservation of biological cells, tissues, and derivatives thereof for others, for veterinary, medical, scientific, research and development uses

Then, on 6/4/2021, Linda Powers submitted another trademark application for “Healthbank” for Class Codes 001 and 005:

Class 001 = immune cells, namely, cells for scientific, laboratory or medical research; tissue cells, namely, cells for scientific, laboratory or medical research; biological tissues, namely, stem cells, progenitor cells, immune cells, tumor cells, blood-derived cells, stromal cells, connective tissue, support tissue, organ tissue, adipose and soft tissue, vascular tissue, skin and surface tissues, mucosal tissue, neural tissue, decellularized tissue, demineralized tissue, umbilical cords, placentas, bone marrow and tumor tissue for scientific, laboratory and medical research use; derivatives of the aforementioned goods, namely, proteins, peptides, enzymes, cytokines, chemokines, antibodies, DNA, RNA, growth factors, cell lysate, extracellular matrix and conditioned media for scientific, laboratory or medical research

Class 005 = immune cells, namely, cells for medical or veterinary use; tissue cells, namely, cells for medical or veterinary use; biological tissues, namely, stem cells, progenitor cells, immune cells, tumor cells, blood-derived cells, stromal cells, connective tissue, support tissue, organ tissue, adipose and soft tissue, vascular tissue, skin and surface tissues, mucosal tissue, neural tissue, decellularized tissue, demineralized tissue, umbilical cords, placentas, bone marrow and tumor tissue for medical or veterinary use; derivatives of the aforementioned goods, namely, vaccines, proteins, peptides, cytokines, chemokines, antibodies, DNA, RNA, growth factors, cell lysate, extracellular matrix, and conditioned media for medical or veterinary use

This is another positive sign that DCVax-L top line data is positive, and worldwide regulatory approvals are much closer now.
