Rose IMHO anyone who has a heart attack by age 55 has some underlying condition …. Often severe like He FH. Hetero familia hyper cholesterolemia ( very high LDL cholesterol ) AND smokes or is a diabetic / obese as well .

Ie several co morbidities

And is not on Statin therapy .

So if you put the previous 55 yr old at least on statin therapy then 65 becomes the new “ family history of heart disease “ baseline

I’m using round figures here

I’m the only male on my fathers side to live past 62 …inherited HeFH
Why … because I’m on max dose statins since 1987 and have added Vascepa , Repatha and Zetia …. And I don’t smoke

Your brother had a CABG so I would definitely disclose that as a family risk factor .

Part of my exchange with Lizzy had to do with pricing and risk factors

I picked up my one month supply of Repatha today from Kaiser … price is now $135 a month
However Kaiser has lowered my copay for Vascepa to $8 a month
Both used to be roughly $100 a month

Why the change ?
Did AMRN agree to charge Kaiser a lower WAC in exchange for more extensive Medicare coverage …. My guess

Or did Kaiser’s Algo’s determine better return for Vascepa than Repatha …. So lowered price of V but increased price of Repatha ?

I still don’t get Amarins rebate deal
Take RAF as an example … I’m sure he doesn’t mind :—)
I guess he’s in his 40’s - early 50’s and is ripped ( works out a lot )
His only risk factor that I know of is high TG’s ( FM around 300-350 mg / dL ) that diet and a generic statin could probably lower significantly

But he qualifies for AMRN’s coupon .. $150 ?
These coupons cost AMRN $ .
As shareholders we aren’t making any $ … in fact we may be losing $ … giving such rebates

Can U ( any one else reading this ) explain how shareholders benefit from offering such generous rebates
Raf would still probably buy Vascepa if it cost him $50 a month ( less than similar but not as pure dietary supplements )
