gfp: Yes, to some degree. But SOME attempt to hinder absolute totalitarianism has to be attempted. What is going on now in the Western world and China is appalling. As bad as America is, and the powers that be wish to make it worse, many places in the world are worse. I just read a long but interesting article on Zero Hedge about the unfortunate Craig Murray over in the UK. A former UK Ambassador to Uzbekistan he had the temerity to blow the whistle on the use of Uzbekistan by British and American operatives to conduct a regime of torture in our "war" on terror. He was ousted for having the courage to speak the truth. Then he went on to try his hand at independent journalism. He has a website and once again pissed off the USA/UK "intelligence" community by reporting on the weak case against Julian Assange and how our corrupt governments are trying to kill the guy in prison by holding him in inhumane conditions. Too much truth. Too much honesty. So off to jail with him for 19 months. For according to the Scottish courts there are 2 types of journalists. Corporate shills who are granted absolute truth immunity and independent journalists who can be jailed for writing anything the "state" disapproves of. That is totalitarianism. And believe me, if Bozo Biden's handlers (Obama, Susan Rice and Valerie Jarrett) could get away with it they'd do the same thing here....in a heartbeat. The elites are losing the consent of the governed. So suppression will be attempted as a last gasp to retain power. It will get ugly.
