Cherries and watermelons.

Is there any concern that ANVS's failure could be a harbinger for AVXL or do the MOAs differ so much that it's apples to oranges?

The MOAs (mechanisms of action; how they work biochemically) are entirely different, as comparing cherries to watermelons. Blarcamesine, from the start or top of biochemical problems in the neuron, fixes them. Everyone else tries to fix things from the bottom, cleaning up or removing wastes after they have been formed. At the sigma-1 receptor protein, blarcamesine stops the waste (pathology) problems at their start.
