If I know Dr. Ashkan well enough, there might be a backlog of stored tumor tissue waiting to be made into L vaccine. As you are probably aware, it takes almost 3 months before patients receive their first vaccine from the time of surgery. If I were him thinking as a patient advocate I’d be recommending saving as much tumor tissue for vaccine production as possible at least 2.5 months before expected manufacturing startup. There might be others in the US and elsewhere thinking the same way hence the absolute “requirement hurdle” for manufacturing capacity while any final approval might be being considered.
