I posted that because my husband and I wished we had done it a lot sooner. Yes, you are right that young people should start ASAP. Just putting a ten dollar bill into the account starts the clock and they can fund it whenever they can. Plus, I believe our brokerage accounts at Schwab and TDA pay a bit more interest on un-invested cash than leaving it in the bank.
