UREA SHORTAGE: Urea shortage in ... the UK??

FERTILISER
25/01/07

UK activity this week has been slow as the cold/wet weather persists.

Trade on the International market remains brisk as traders are very actively trying to cover their short positions.

An increase in both European and US wheat plantings has increased the Global AN demand dramatically.

Prices have continued to escalate and UK Manufacturers are now eager to see price rises.

UK nitrogen prices are now reflecting the first increase in 3 months.

Gran Urea is in limited supply, Prilled Urea is almost impossible to source at any price and manufacturers are now sold out for the Jan - March period.
