Beating the dead horse one more time.
I am mostly typing this out for my own benefit and to vent some but honestly I cannot come up with a narrative where it makes sense for the Army/Virtra not to disclosure this deal by mid Aug. That being said, I'm really surprised we don't know already. As I said yesterday the Army is currently set to buy 26K units within 65 days. What would be the point of continuing to keep it quiet? Even now I cannot believe we don't have concrete, 100% proof. Is it possible the Army buys 4K-8K recoil kits and it STILL isn't disclosed? I guess it would show up in the backlog of Q3 or maybe even Q4 is a worst case scenario but why in the world would they do that? Also, and I'm just rambling again, but why would they wait until the very last possible hour to buy the units? They are required to submit that document by Aug 15th to get the whole dollar amount but they could have submitted the document a month ago and pulled the trigger then. ok so maybe everything is not ready yet, final touches or whatever. alright so Aug 15th comes and they submit the document. The document CAN be held by the committee and is not necessarily public knowledge immediately. So we cannot see it and even if we could it MAY not name vendors. The following week Virtra reports their earnings and they are very good but not blowout. Everyone following closely knows they will be pretty strong. Bob gets on and does his thing and says blah blah blah "Stay tuned" "Progress" whatever and since the money had not been released yet (Waiting on document) , then the units aren't purchased yet Bob can go 3 more months maybe even 6 months if they deliver them in Oct, without saying a word about this deal. So that is kinda worst case in my mind. I guess maybe all of us are flat wrong and they don't have the contract at all. Or maybe its 100M and they announce it today after hours for all I know.
My whole point is trying to understand the WHY behind keeping this so well hidden until the very very last possible second. I mean wow talk about screwing your shareholders. intentionally hiding it and then waiting on it to show up in your backlog is the plan? Might as well set up some sort of deferred contract and see if we can stretch it out another 12-24 months. we have only waited 30 months already. Im kidding of course but we are getting close to absurd on this timeline. THE ARMY IS BUYING 26000 IN 60 DAYS!!!!
