Alittlebitalexis, there are similarities between the two in that they both are types of immunotherapy (but very, very different types), both are delivered as vaccines, and both had halts in enrollment put on them at similar times, and investors have waited a long time for their top line data reports. But those things do not then make them equivalent. They are two separate biotechs and the reasons for a bullish or bearish approach to each are individual to the two companies.

I think having a good understanding of the reasons the two are actually quite different can help alleviate those types of worries, but that would take awhile to unwind. Suffice it to say that longs who are familiar with both are comfortable that the story for each is quite separate, despite the narrative that those not invested here like to present.

It would seem, though, that despite CVM’s drop, they still look to have a good shot at a regulator approval for the less at risk head and neck market, but we’ll have to see how that ultimately plays out.
