Research showed that the CEO’s cousin attempted to get the property rezoned many years ago explicitly so he could build a movie studio. All the “proof” of a grow-op amounted to the CEO’s bravado and tightly cropped photos that would give no objective indications of any purpose at all.
They finally posted pictures of grow pods, three if I remember correctly. The installation of which was obviously not meant to be permanent. The CEO it the time claimed pictures is the interior were verboten due to Canadian security statutes, etc. The funny part is that ALL the other grow-ops were only too proud to show the world the sophistication of the technology involved.
As far as buyers were concerned, the ticker attracted the dumbest of the dumb. On of which claimed to be a preacher. That same person also enjoyed bragging about tending bar a the Playboy mansion.
People did far more than buy t-shirts and vanity license plates. They got tattooed. This one is probably in my top 20 for weird.
If this is all old news for you and others then lets just call it a sign post for the new.
It is just amazing how much it costs to run a company out of a UPS Store postal box
