737-200 aircraft. 46 years old! Has NOTHING to DO with the MAX or 777.

But still, someone will hang for this one. Even jet engines THAT old don't suddenly quit AT THE SAME TIME.

It'll come out that it wasn't fueled properly, or that someone did some sort of maintenance since the last flight and did something wrong.

There was a EAL Lockheed L-1011 years ago that developed engine problems soon after take-off. It had Rolls Royce RB-211 engines. The mechs did a quick Chip Detector inspection on the engines the night before. Those Chip Detectors are bayonet-type units - you push in and turn counter-clockwise to get them out, then you lock them back in by pushing them in and twisting them clockwise, then tug on them until they "click" and lock back in. Each chip detector has two small o-rings, which are replaced at every removal/installation.

The mechs putting them back in somehow forgot to put the new o-rings back on for the install.

The engines leaked most of the contents of the oil tank out of the engine on take-off. 2 engines just flat out failed. They were able to get one of the three engines restarted and landed safely.

These turbines are pretty bulletproof and but yes, they do fail once in a while. BUT - both engines failing at the same time is unheard of. I can't WAIT to find out what happened.

I keep telling myself....deep breath....count to ten....try to answer without personal attack...if available, always try to present fact to back up your opinion.
