So then the pincher play, while technically over, still has it's "energy" trapped in the current suppressed price.

And the "energy" the realization of the pincher play should have released, will (in theory), be released in a huge move sometime when the short cannot fight the tsunami of upward price/volume.

Is that a fair way to describe it?
