More sigma-1 receptors? Or better activation?

...if someone takes Anavex 2-73, the result will be that the person gains more sigma-1 receptors, as well as having their sigma-1 receptors activated?

Well, I saw that too, the claim that blarcamesine, somehow, increases the number of sigma-1 receptors. If it does, well and good. I haven't seen direct evidence of this, but it may actually happen.

To date, the primary mechanism of blarcamesine efficacies has been attributed to facilitated, propitious "activation" of the existing sigma-1 receptor proteins. Doubtless, that occurs, yielding a number of good outcomes.

But, one of those outcomes could also be greater production of the receptor protein itself, which subsequently could be activated by blarcamesine. A wonderful effect-multiplying process.
