thegreencandle "The success or failures of others head zero bearing on the success or failure of a company. You can't rank pctl against other companies and use that ranking as a basis for investment in pctl. It's meaningless."

For a real investor your seasoning makes sense. But the fact is that there are lots of financially clueless people who choose to stake some money in stocks that move strongly, hoping that they will make a lot of money that way. Most of them will long-term lose money but many will make a killing from time to time. For a good trader this company has had a stock price that made it possible to get a very good return if you were able to time buying and selling your shares well.

Generally the quality of management is very important for a real investor. My view is that Gary is very weak when it comes to communicating what happens and he may not be good when it comes to making decisions eiter. Right now the information from the UK suggests that there may be very big demand for the equipment made by this company later this year. To what extent PCTL will be able to capitalize if this happens is unknown. But I think there is a real chance that PCTL may be able to generate very substantial revenues from the UK. The same goes for the O&G business. My view is that PCTL right now looks like an intriguing investment also for long-term investors. I guess we will know if I am right within the next 12 months.
