News - SAN DIEGO, Jan 24, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Titan Energy Worldwide (OTCBB:TEWW) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Stellar Energy Services, Inc., completed delivery of a state-of-the-art backup emergency power system to Quality Bicycle Products of Bloomington, Minnesota. The emergency backup system is comprised of (2)-375kW MPS Bi-Fuel engine generators manufactured by Generac Power System of Waukesha, Wisconsin. Generac has pioneered the technology to convert diesel only product into one that can operate on 100% diesel or up to 80% natural gas and only 20% diesel.
John Giegerich, President of Stellar Energy Services, Inc., stated, "The emergency system is superior to the competition because in the event of an extended utility failure the system can run hundreds of hours without refueling with the ability to operate on 80% natural gas. Because the units run on a combination of diesel and natural gas the emissions are much lower than standard diesel product".
Thomas Black, President of Titan Energy, added, "Another major benefit with the Generac Multiple Paralleling System (MPS) is the flexibility for expansion. Additional engine generators can be added on to the emergency system inexpensively in the event the customer's future growth or load demand increases".
The system is being installed by one of the premier electrical contractors in Minnesota, Hurt Electric.
