WRONG PERSPECTIVE: how would this planet support an ever growing population of ageing selfish I want to live forever people

Equating old with selfish is ridiculous. Many old people are free to do what they really want, and many want to give back. Charities would die without old volunteers.

while there would be lower birth rate, fewer and fewer young people and innovation keeping the wheels spinning.

The number of old people has nothing to do with the birth rate. In fact, healthy older grandparents can help young people raise their kids, making it easier for thee to have MORE. And being old and healthy takes a big burden off their kids shoulders, as they dont have to care for them.

And with healthy 273 fortified brains, maybe innovation continues at any age, people work longer to say 80 and they are creating and innovating. People could start a second career at say age 60 ahd have enough time to do a super second act.
