They do not dilute, they short when other MM's are having issues with the volume, so yes when a stock moves and MM's are getting squeezed ASCM and VERT will step it to slow the action and try to get profit takers, so they short and cover and allow other MM's to cover in the process.

It is telling that they needed to step in here with such low volume today, it means this is primed for a MOASS in due time
