The silence is prudent, and that is a fact. That it pisses off a certain element of traders is understandable, they trade on information, and want to time things. Well, we all know timing, in truth, with good companies, is very unlikely to succeed in the long-run. People put off “averaging down” waiting for info, but by then it is too late, then they could blame the company. But that is never a company’s fault to properly manage the information flow, not leak, manage their relationships and obey the law. In every aspect, it is the exact opposite of what you suggest.
