Comes down to the lobbying...Biogen has lobbyists lots of them...AVXL will need to use a grassroots approach to get the FDA to listen....

Great point and look at all the partnerships with CVS and insurance groups they have had to forge to cast the widest possible net to reel in patients to run this drug through. Im sure they are also lobbying the fed trying to free up more of that “free money” for many of the “underserved” and or the black and latinex communities. Amazing the amount of times these communities or ethnicities are mentioned when it is convenient to sell them something or to sell the general population a load of crap.

The outcome today must of been known sometime back as the relationships take along time to build. Also plays off of the fact one poster here heard a biogen rep gearing up Dr Offices for infusions ahead of time.
