Good exercise for us to look at while we wait and see the outcome here. US and other countries patents are usually recognized by each other. You can probably forget China, their courts have only granted peanuts to patents from other countries. But Western Europe, South America, Canada, India and Australia have sizable populations and economies to support worthwhile actions by Chanbond.
One distinction would have to be evaluated as infringing is DSL over Cable. Take Germany for example. Vodaphone is the largest server, with mostly DSL service offered in the country. DSL is small here, I am only familiar with AT&T and Verizon. They use a "DSL" specific modem, not a cable modem. I suppose it may be similar, but my experience is dated with those, as I thought DSL was a slower tech when I looked at it.
If it can be established that a DSL modem infringes Chanbond patents, then the world is open for us. This would be awesome for us, and would allow a future route for compensation for the company. For us to get full value for our shares, we need to trade again. But there needs to be a reason for the company to reinstate itself and get current. New investors need a reason to buy shares, and going after the world's modems is one hell of a reason.
