Maybe not. The FDA make take this way out of the situation.

The FDA may ask for an additional trail. That is a politically a safe out for the FDA. The internal guy that is advocating for ADU*** doesn't get a complete turn down. The people that think it is a bad drug will get a straight up trial to show that it is a bad drug. BIIB gets to decide if they want to spend more money or not and the BIIB shareholders still have some hope. The people that will be most unhappy are the AD advocacy groups that are pushing the FDA for approval.

If investing was easy, everyone would be rich by now.
