We all have PTSD. I am ashamed to say I never realized how awful this condition is...I respect it and all who suffer from it. It’s a fucking bitch!!!!
I wish nothing but the best for ya all and may you retired folk have alarm clock anxiety for the next 30 years!!!!!

Unfortunately this beast has teeth and ya don’t have to have been in IRAQ to suffer from it. I can only imagine how bad PTSD is for our VETS. It blows my mind.
I thank you all from the core of my being!!!!

I considered myself a rock...numb perhaps...and yet the tragedies of the the last 15 months...both COVID and non COVID have caused the dead things inside me to start moving. It does not hurt me so much...but for the fact that those I love have suffered....and for them.....I am in pain and only just realizing it.

It’s the unrealized shit that scares me.

to those suffering .....I offer a prayer (rare from a dead inside heathen)...

I will barb-q tomorrow with my family like no tomorrow and give thanks and respect to those that made it possible. There is a darkness that will be there...something new..but I will strive to to let it cast a shadow of remembrance on all that is is good and MEMORABLE!!! Is that possible? Can a darkness cast a shadow? Ahhh fuck it...opening a beer now...almost makes sense again.

For me...Memorial Day finally means what it should have all along....I was just too young before.....too sheltered....while not wishing to take away from the traditional intent... for me, this Memorial Day has additional meaning...for I also remember those we have lost in the battle against COVID...I hope no veterans take offense. I truly salute you and my fallen relatives.
