You're right on that. He would have been a very wealthy man if he had just let everything run its course. I also believe Billy is only being "nice" as a stall tactic. He has money, and possibly his freedom on the line. Nice is for suckers. I say full steam ahead with lawyering up and stop everything in its tracks until we are satisfied with the outcome. He is not a trustworthy person no matter how cordial he is on the phone/texts.
