This project is just three miles from my house. Pure speculation here, but why would Microsoft build a new data center with yesterday's technology? The first building is slated to be operational by the end of 2022. That is plenty of time to equip the data center with LWLG inside. Another news article states that ComEd can only supply 60% of the power needs without building a new substation.
