Reading the "back and forth", but only been here since Feb 2020 so do not have the "long time perspective" of CytoDyn as some others have.
Yes, with NP I have seen mistakes, misstatements, and at times enthusiasm overwhelming judgement. But simultaneously, I've seen total commitment, creativity, caring, and learning taking place. NP's had "crow for dinner," more often than most, but keeps battling on.
All this is taking place in a "hostile environment" buffeted by an FDA trying to appear sincere and helpful, while more intent of sending CytoDyn down "every back road possible and deceptively altering the road signs" to retard our progress to well-earned approvals. At the same time, we are battered by questionable, coordinated short attacks, over-flowing board FUD and false information attacks on a frequent basis. It's not an easy environment in which to function.
And yet, in spite of the hurricane of BS, Cytodyn is moving forward on a number of fronts, in fact accelerating (look at all the stuff coming up). And much to the chagrin of the FDA becoming known, respected, and in fact demanded!
New/change/dynamic etc. do not automatically insure success. Yes, there might be a general "Hurrah!" at first, but all the problems and the environment remains the same, or worse. Then reality comes when the newbies discover "it's not as easy to fix, as it appears from the outside." And about that time BP, scenting the blood in the water, might decide to really "sock it to" the newbies. ...And would they have the temerity to grind on or shrug, take a cheap buyout and move on?
The one change I would definitely like to see is Patterson and Pourhassan working together...but I'm not holding my breath.
I think I'll wait and see what transpires. Maybe I'm deluding myself, but I think Nader's foreign moves in this tragic but auspicious time are a recipe for success.
I guess we'll all find out.
