still here?? but i watched the final show.. here is my take on it… and i am typing in the notes that i took AS i watched it, not after….

I hated the intro, rap and hip hop, fast forwarded….

now, for round ONE….

Grace - was rocky, she looked tired and stressed but I can only imagine what all of this is like at this point. I dont think they should put her in super tight mermaid like dresses with her “figure” but she is still a pretty lady just the same. it was just OK. the judges gushed over her as it was what they requested.

Willie- I love the song “Georgia” but his lisp was very distracting. at least he was on key where Grace missed some notes.

Chayce- I love the song “Blackbird” but it did not fit his style but i love his tone. the judges hinted he would not make it. hmmm. odd.

round 2…

Grace sang a Witney Houston song… was way better than before but the song was rushed, not her fault. I just didnt feel it.

Willie- he did good. he didnt have the lisp this time. their comments to him actually made me tear up a bit. but i reall want chayce to win.

Chayce- sings a Chris Stapleton song. the hubby and I love Staplenton! Chayce sounds much like him but needs to sing louder so we can hear him. it was way better than his first song. I am hoping a manly man song will finally win Idol. lets see what happens. he is SO humble that he nearly walked off stage before they were done talking to him. lol

Willie and Chayce make it to top #2! Grace is gone, but i was sure Grace would win over Willie.

then the fluffy stuff, like the judges sing, or people sing that i never heard of…. ugh.

but i loved the “jingle” that one idol contestant sang about the show. that was really good.

then I just had to fast forward through tons of icky fluff…. but the guy “murphy”, who was booted, did oddly good during the fluff-fest.

the rest of the fluff-fest was just awkward.

then i loved the part where the other contestnats mock the top two. they have done that in the past and that is one of my favorite parts of the show.

Final song….

Chayce- he was good, very good, but weak sounding and tired, as he should be after a LONG night.

Willie- sappy as usual, but good.

so, it is sappy vs manly man stuff.

the winner is ….

Chayce!!!!!!! thank God… American might just get back into manly man music so the young boys can aspire to be more like him!!

Thx so much Skyls for getting me to watch Idol again after I gave up over the sad sappy stories that won them the title vs singing and talent. I had given up on the show but you insisted its worth another try.
