Here’s the problem. The COVID related restrictions began last year. So that comment about not collecting data for over a year brings us to the present

But how is it possible that due to COVID related restrictions that began last year, NWBO has not been able to collect much data for over a year, yet retrieved and verified enough data to announce data lock on 10/5/20?

What I suspect is that most of the data was collected by March 2020 and gave NWBO the impression that they could wrap up the TLD just before the April 18 2020 ASM. Unfortunately, they became aware of additional important data that they had to collect before TLD and that included the IDH mutation data.

Unfortunately, collecting the rest of that data during the COVID period took much more time and perhaps by September 2020 they realized that:
1. the statistical analysis was going to take much longer than they
imagined.
2. That the complexity of the results and the documentation of their significance and importance could best be conveyed via a peer reviewed publication.
