Congratulations to me. My colleagues and I just received an e-mail from the editor of a high impact journal, in my area, that our paper has been accepted for publication. It was an example of extreme delay due to near rejection and two rounds of major revisions; it was first submitted mid December, so five months. If anyone is interested in the details of how an interaction goes with editors and reviewers, which might be helpful to understand the process, I will post a blow by blow. It includes death, bulldozers, NSF, and tortuous data analysis (many statisticians said you have to be kidding), way beyond KM. If not that is fine.
