A story of impressive human decency (this happened only few hours ago).
------------------------

Me and wife went to beachhouse to do the lawn surrounding house (first time this year).

After a few hours there' we were ready to drive home (some 45 miles from the BH).
------------------------

Anyone heard of 'bad habits' like placing phone and wallet on top of SUV (because hands full of bags and stuff) 'and leaving them there' in some accidental line of events - result driving of with phone and wallet still lying on roof of car.
--------------------------

Long story short close to home - had to buy some grocery at a store - realised 'wallet - phone missing' - thought left them in Beach House.
--------------------------

Decided to wait till tomorrow to take the drive to BH to fetch
the things.
--------------------------

Maybe 15- 20 minutes later - a nabo came knocking the door. They had been contacted by a guy from a delivery company that through one of their employes on the road - that actually were driving close behind and saw wallet and phone - slide of the roof of the car (and stooped and picked it up - and contacted his office ) Office tries to phone us (from data on the plastic's) - but we usually don't take 'expected spam calls from unknown numbers' - so this guy phones a nabo'.

About an hour ago a tall young african guy (speaking Danish with an accent) knock's on the door at delivers wallet and phone directly to our home address. Who has cash these days - we found what value $20 and gave offered to pay $100 for the impressive effort of the company that was run by his brother - - but the young man refused - and said 'only glad to help'
---------------------------

Hating myself for the 'total idiocy' of leaving 'most important things' on top of the car - I at the same time have just experienced one of the most inspirational efforts - from total strangers in my life, for which I'm so deeply grateful - I just had to share this story.

PS. Phone is dead from the crash on the road - but most important all the plastics - driver licence etc. is unharmed - so 'Saved by these very helpful people - something I will never forget'.
