I agree that they can speculate reasonably, all they’d like, and the math here is so compelling, it leads one to a reasonable conclusion that the speculation is far more than speculation. But it’s still blind.

While I have no doubt they had potential causes of action against that company trying to steal the IP, I think the impact on Other things, like a fund complex made up of innocent third parties whose money happens to be in the company, are not likely to be affected by any such disclosures. That is why I believe that Woodford was not ever truly stuck in this stock other than for the reason that he knew it was likely a winner and I hope he learned a lesson not to attack his own investment. That was a boneheaded move on his part. He may certainly have had bad motives, hard to know. But I think if he thought sincerely it was a failure or any fund manager at his complex, then there were work arounds to enable a reasonable, non-contaminated likely divestiture. The fund complex did not divest until, as far as we know, there was a general portfolio liquidation in one or part of the fund complex.

Anyway, not a huge disagreement in the end, I think. Really a focus on what is being said, what it means and technical vocabulary that might be misused by others.
