The DC’s don’t have the antigen, the lysate provides the antigen. This is not about that particular process.

I think you’re reading it incorrectly or disingenuously. I note you describe, don’t quote and don’t provide the link.

I am looking at it and I don’t see what you’re seeing. Claim 1 and 2 are not typically the heart of the claims. You jumped the gun to antigens but suggested you were discussing some core or crux of the patent when there are 20 claims and it relates not to the lysate particularly or antigens, but in fact to stimulating the cells for a particular reaction to certain other tumor related stimuli to enhance the anti-tumor reaction of the dendritic cells.

This is a new patent, not the lysate related earlier patents but a patent about addressing certain tumor related resistance factors.

It also allows for dendritic cells selected from a donor, not necessarily the person being treated, who has been HLA-matched to the target patient.

I think you are not understanding what you’re reading. It addresses certain particular additional factors for the maturation of the dendritic cells by the addition or subtraction of certain cytokines, BCG (that bacterial combination we have discussed here before), an agonist of a Toll-like receptor, and various other stimulating or paracrine factors, some in very particular concentrations and states of composition.

This appears to be a set of additional ways to increase the sensitivity and effectiveness of DCVax Direct for optimization, but it is not clear that it would only or necessarily only apply to direct.

Anyway, I read your suggestions and you seem not to be reading it right, perhaps because that is in your interest to suggest it is “inconsequential”.

They do not give patents for non-inventions. The patent office is not oriented in that way.
