They were so exciting!!! And ally half time Switzer would walk into the locker room and say,”Boys, let’s hang a half a hundred on em!!” AND one more quick story!!! When Gerald Ford was president, he was asked to handle the “coin toss” for the OU vs Texas game at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. So Daryl Royal, President Ford and Switzer are walking out of the tunnel toward mid field for the toss. You coulda heard a pin drop in the stadium it was so quiet and just before they got to mid field, this well oiled OU fan with a deep voice bellowed out” Hey!! Who are those 2 assholes with Switzer!!” Kinda set the tone for the Big Game!!! Kinda like today’s trading sets the tone for all Northwest longs!!!:):):)
