XEROX

Could it be that this is what we’re dealing with.

In his now largely forgotten (but excellent) 1967 book, “Stock Market Blueprints,” Edward S. Jensen lists 14 keys to success for “dynamic growth” stocks.

The first key is what he calls “The Big Gamble.” Jensen states: “In most every case, a company with dynamic growth potential is one in which a big gamble was taken in the development of some new product or service.”

Xerox stock soon advanced more than 10,000% in less than 10 years.

Today it boasts a $4.9 billion market cap, 7.5 times that of Eastman Kodak, which re-emerged from a 2012 bankruptcy and is valued at only $651 million. In the end, late-blooming David became Goliath.
