Update regarding US patent application entitled “OPTIMALLY ACTIVATED DENDRITIC CELLS THAT INDUCE AN IMPROVED OR INCREASED ANTI-TUMOR IMMUNE RESPONSE.” Publication number 20180187145.

As I deal with patent issues every day, I have been keeping track of the patent application mentioned above on a daily basis (even though Ex and LC don’t believe I know anything about the patent process). In February, NWBO filed a response to a recent office action, amending the claims to be in line with those suggested by the Examiner. Typically, when you amend in line with an Examiner’s suggestion, this will advance prosecution and likely lead to a quick allowance. The Examiner appears to have finally taken this case up again and has issued an “Examiner's Amendment Communication.” While this document has not yet been posted to the image file wrapper for public viewing (it usually takes a day or two), the fact that the Examiner has issued such document essentially means this case is being allowed with some additional Examiner-proposed amendments (which will likely be minor). I will continue to monitor this application and provide updates. Just thought you all would like to know! Let’s go NWBO!
