Well, at least the testing was done close by.

The first time I was tested, I was real sick, back in August 2020. The doctor says he doesn't think it is COVID, but I should go get tested anyway, there is a drivethrough set up near the hospital, here's a paper with directions and you have to call for an appointment.

So I call and have an appointment for 11:30am, the woman says it is right next to Pont Rousseau train station.

Hmmm, weird, I thought that was shut down years ago.

So, map in hand, I head off to the appointment with a massive headache and high fever, it is a 12 mile drive through small streets. I almost run over a pedestrian.

I see a sign, "Gare de Pont Rousseau", so I go there. A dead end street with the old train station turned into a museum.

OK, not here, u turn, almost running over another pedestrian.

I'm looking at the plan, and it makes no sense at all. The destination must be near the hospital, which is at the other side of the dead end street.

So I head over that way, getting a small idea of what the map is trying to tell me, behind the hospital!

Nope, u turn, another dead end, almost hit another pedestrian.

OK, FURTHER behind the hospital and then YES, I see signs for COVID tests.

I'm real stressed out by now, it is 11:35 and I hate being late for appointments.

So I arrive and, there is a lineup.

It was August, temperature was about 100 degrees and mine was about the same, so I get it cancels itself out. After 30-45 mins I get to the nurse that's going to do the test.

She asks me a few useless questions and says that I have a real nice accent, where are you from?

Where am I from? All I want to do is go back to where I came from an hour ago and crawl into bed.

However, I was nice and said Canada, and blah blah blah, obviously she had someone she knows that moved to Canada, why am I here (TO GET A DAMNED PCR TEST) well my wife is french and so here I am.

Almost ran down another pedestrian on the way back home, then crawled into bed.

Wasn't COVID, some other virus maybe.
