If it means anything and you have the time... If it's totally software, then there is a good chance all the software is doing is tweaking with your tcp/ip stack and other internal and registry settings. You may save some money buy looking to the internet and doing a search for free tweaking guides, and maybe tweakTU (I think it's called that). I have dial-up and I get 55.5k up and 53.3 down on a regular isp by changing certain default windows settings and such. (edit) oops.. correction on rates... 55.5 down and 50.5 up. Also, these numbers aren't the true measure of packet traffic on my connection. They are the arbitrary specs put up by network connection app. good luck
