Imo, there will be no "global" settlement without a win in court vs Cox. They will not pay out that type of money on an unknown. This trial was set up by Judge Andrews to show him the issues, and both sides the legal value of the case. All the potential actual value of the infringement is not at play here, only a part, which they would have to pay anyway on a loss. So watching how the trial plays out isn't a big risk to them, considering the savings if we lose. A "global" settlement, if it happens, would be just prior to a Comcast trial, where the bulk of the liability would be on trial. Time for everyone to watch to coming trial, and don't worry so much about Billy, he isnt in play until we win.
