I know you are a fan of the Stanley Tucci series on Talyun food. In the Milano episode, he and his wife go to Bellagio. I took some screen caps to illustrate better what I tried to describe in words.
This is the promontory of Bellagio looking south-southeast. The promonory splits Lake Como into an east and a west branch. I labeled where the Villa Serbelloni estate is (the hill - the entire hill - villa building is on top of the hill - my room was on the other side of the hill at the lake edge)
As you know this is the Grand Hotel, close to the ferry landing
This is southbound on the only north-south road on the western shore of Lake Como - it is very narrow in places - much narrower than this scene portray - with houses/buildings on both sides and no margin for error. South of here is the tiny Como stazione. I took the tren from Milano to Como, then rode in a small bus (like an airport car rental or hotel minibus) along this narrow, scary road with two-way traffic to the ferry stage where you get on the ferry to Bellagio. Stanley looks to be driving south to Milano and is nott taking the tren as a good low-carbon footprinter wood

This shows that damnable coast road. Imagine driving a minibus - or riding in one while a crazed Talyun bus driver thinks he is Mario Andretti in 512 Berlineta Boxer and everyboddy drives FAST on this road - the only one. The ONLY road to gett to Bellagio (or Georges house) from the south or the Como train stazione. George must use a helicopter - pretty shure he does.
