Foxes are friendly. Either last summer or I think it was two summers ago, I had a fox who I think liked to be near me. I often work (and lounge) by an open window (I rarely use AC except on the hottest daze). I have a certain tweety bird that summers in the tree ~OUTTside his window and I like to listen to him. He goes all day long, from the very break of dawn until twilight.

This window opens onto a redwood deck, and the trunk of the tree is just immediately at the end of the deck (or its trunk is - the deck is about 20 feet off the ground and the tree leafs (nott leaves!) ~OUTT above giving mucho shade.

This fox started to wander over to the deck, right ~OUTTside the window and well in the shade. He was only feet from me, separated just by a wall and a screen on the window. He had to see and hear me typing away on the puter. We could and did glance at each other from time to time. Almost every afternoon for many weeks he would come to his napping spot on the deck, in the shade, lissening to the tweety bird and my typing, and doze for a couple of hours - usually from 2 or 3PM until 4 or 5PM.

Then I left for the Uppa Midwess (so this must have bean two summers ago as last year I dint return until late Octubre/November), and when I came back 6 weeks or so later, he was gone and never returned. I have never seen him since - anywhere.
