By forcefully developing "alternative fuels", you would put a burden on current means and affect a sharp rise in demand and price. Be careful .. and let capitalism do it's thing. You can literally put your hand in the air and grab energy. We just haven't discovered that beyond theory. I hope I'll be alive when it happens...
